ABOUT OUR JOURNEY

OUR STORY

We are Joe and Ginger Bice. We live in North Central Arizona. We are a small, home-based kennel. Our dogs are raised as members of our family. We have been owned by boxers since the early 1970’s.

Our first boxer was a show quality girl, Herndon’s Lady Lacy J. Lacy was a lovely flashy fawn. She raised our sons and was their constant companion and loving protector for over 12 years. After her passing, we were without a boxer for about a year. Our hearts were broken and we swore to never have another dog.

Our fate changed when our son picked us out a beautiful female pup and brought her to us. It was love at first sight! Ali was our constant companion for the next 8 years. When she was suddenly taken from us by illness, we started our search for another boxer to fill the void left in our hearts.

Quite by chance, we met Gayann Jones of RandG Boxers. We were not looking for a show quality boxer, but as fate would have it, we went home with a show-potential puppy from her kennel. And as they say, the rest is history! Thank you Gayann for showing us the ropes and getting us started in showing. We would like to recognize the Steele Team. Gary, Michelle, and Kimberlie have been there with us from the beginning, helping us through thick and thin. Thank you to each one, for supporting us and being there for us.

We are also thankful to have found Tessie and Nancy Savage out there in the dog show world. This wonderful mother and daughter team lead us right to the Top Twenty! They were there for us when we needed guidance in the “Special’s World.” They too have been wonderful supporters of our kennel. We are so honored to call them our friends. Gary Copson is a friend brought to us through mutual love and admiration of the boxer breed. Gary has done more for us than we could ever list here, or repay in a lifetime. His continued advice and support is so appreciated.

Many cherished friends have been brought to us through the mutual love of boxers. It is impossible to mention them all here because the list is so long. We consider ourselves rich in this regard. Our joys have been shared and our occasional sadness understood by these dear friends. Through tears and laughter, we have truly enjoyed our lives with boxers and the wonderful people they have brought to us!
